About Blog

Instead of bombarding our friends & family with mounds of pictures every single day I've created this blog.

You can access it anytime of day or night, & when you get bored reading my commentary, you can always look at the pictures & go about your day.

You can expect at least a post a day most every day, including pictures, so refresh often! Also, be sure to sign the guestbook (located here) to let us know you've visited.

Takeshita Dori (Street) - Harajuku

Andrew and I wandered up and down Takeshita Dori in Harajuku, amid a great many tourists. One of the focal points was the many teenagers, male and female, gathered together in small same-sex groups, sauntering along, stopping only to laugh amongst themselves, point out a shop or raid one of the many crepe stands (which look and smell soooo yummy, I must add).

From Japan-Guide.com... The focal point of Harajuku's teenage culture is Takeshita Dori (Takeshita Street) and its side streets, which are lined by many trendy shops, fashion boutiques, used clothes stores, crepe stands and fast food outlets geared towards the fashion and trend conscious teens.

We've found another 100 yen store! This one only four-floors of goodies to wander through, though. *grin*

By the way... did you know that when you pay your money to a cashier in a store in Japan, you most always place your money on a plastic tray and slide it toward the cashier, and vice versa? Learn something every day, huh?

Some of the newest shoe fashions? Looks like I'm missing out on those... I'll just stick with my five-toe socks from the 100 yen shop.

Now THAT is a big sale!
