Kumano Shrine

In all of our visits to the Shinjuku Chuo Kyoen, we haven't really ventured off of our set path (to the playground, of course). We took a detour today, for a leisurely stroll, and came across this shrine, amidst the bustling men in women in business suits, and the blue tarps draped across the trees as makeshift homes.

Because I am unfamiliar with everything about shrines and temples in Japan, I will simply share the very pretty photos with you and not bore you with details...









These guys are a little scary looking, huh?
