Toei Oedo Subway Line
We started out in Nishi-Shinjuku at the Tochomae Station after multiple (and I mean multiple) descents down the stairs (and I mean multiple stairways).
I actually tried to photograph every stairway we came UP when exiting at our destination, but I may have missed 1 or 2.
At some points, the Toei Oedo subway line actually runs 48 meters underground (around 52 yards) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oedo_subway_line !! It's so far underground because it is the newest subway line to be build (2000) and had to be built below the current subway lines.
We came up the one on the left, then went up the center photo, only to arrive at the right photo. Luckily going UP you have escalators!

Then we came up the escalator on the left, went up the escalator on the right, and Voila! We were at the Hiro-O station near Roppongi Hills.
